In 1980, Penmar Management was founded in the Los Angeles, South Bay Area with a focus on developing a property management company built on the ideals of modern scientific management principals as taught by Frederick Taylor and Henri Fayol, and the application of those principals in real estate management as introduced by such pioneers as James Downs Jr., CPM© and William Walters Jr. CPM©.

Since its beginning, Penmar Management has focused on real estate management and working with its clients to develop their real estate portfolios through strategic management, purchasing, sales, and 1031 exchanges. 
Located in Lomita, California, we are proud of the fact that we have been operating for almost four decades continuously. Unlike other management companies claiming many years of operations, Penmar has never closed its door, sold out to other principals, had its license limited or revoked, or had an abrupt replacement of management personnel. This has allowed its corporate culture to evolve, and allowed it to retain all the lessons learned through the years.

If they don't, we will reimburse you up to 50% of the lost rent (See terms and conditions that are spelled out on the guarantee that is made part of every management agreement).

Our Team 

Bob Green, President and Broker
Bob Green, is primarily responsible for meeting owners interested in placing their properties under the care of professional property management. There are many reasons owners may look to property management, and it is Bob’s responsibility to understand the needs and desires of each inquirer. Job satisfaction comes from fulfilling any client’s needs and desires. The greatest comes from mentoring those clients wanting to develop their present holdings to where they can become financially independent. “I love to find those folks who are looking for someone to take an interest in them and help them reach their financial goals. If they come with the desire and determination, I will give them the help and knowledge to succeed.”
Jennifer Reynoso, Office Manager
Jennifer Reynoso joined us in 2017 with an extensive background in customer service and customer relations. Because of her interest and talent in dealing with all people, she quickly rose from the front desk to office manager where she coordinates all activity directed toward the best interest of each client.
Leticia Ramos, Bookkeeper 
Leticia Ramos has held nearly every position during the many years she has been with us. She was active in the transitioning from our prior software to Appfolio, our current property management program in 2010. She has coordinated random audits by the Department of Real Estate, various insurance companies, and those we have had conducted by licensed Certified Public Accountants. 
Cynthia Sarmiento, Maintenance Supervisor
Cynthia Sarmiento came to us with an extensive background in property management as a residential manager. Like all personnel at Penmar, Cynthia has been cross-trained in all aspects of property management. Her main role is that of Maintenance Supervisor. She is the one that interviews potential subcontractors, ensures that they either carry their own workers comp insurance or obtains the information so we can cover them under our policy while working on a client's property. She, along with other members of the staff, inspects properties, negotiates with our approved subcontractors, writes up work-orders and follows each project to completion. 
Yvonne Vasquez, Leasing Agent
As a leasing agent, Yvonne's duty is to meet client needs. Understand their interests and desires. She comes from a real estate background and has knowledge of the current market. She also carries multiple certificates in the real estate industry.
Alexis Bernal, Front Desk Administrator
As the front desk receptionist for Penmar Management, my purpose is to handle various tasks on a day to day basis and make the office run smoothly. I'm the office staff’s right hand taking care of numerous jobs like; greet & direct all visitors and provide assistance, answer, screen and direct phone calls, assist tenant's maintenance requests and work with vendors, and assist with accounts payable/receivable.
